Google has added 24 languages, including eight Indian languages, to its language-translation tool ‘Google Translate.’ The company announced today during its I/O 2022 developer conference.
In a statement on Wednesday (11 May 2022), Google said over 300 million people speak these newly added languages.
Sanskrit, Bhojpuri, Dogri, Assamese, Mizo, Konkani, Maithili, and Meiteilon (Manipuri) are the eight Indian languages added to Google Translate, according to the company statement.
“Sanskrit is the number one, most-requested language at Google Translate and we are finally adding it” says Google Research.
